What tips do you have for first-timers at THE Spring Games?

Please be sure to review all of the information on this website before you arrive, join our Fan Facebook Page, and Review our FAN PRO TIPS, below. All of these resources provide you with information, tips, ideas, and access to others who can help you if you have a question. The PRO TIPS includes a list of food and entertainment resources for you to enjoy while you are at THE Spring Games.

Also, be sure to download the Official THE Spring Games app. The sooner you do these things, the more informed you will be!

You will also want to be sure to book restaurants, activities, and events in advance of your arrival. During the busy weeks (the first and second week of March, in particular), we have over 100 teams in town that week so restaurants and activity centers get full and it would help you – and them – if you let them know you are coming so they can be prepared to better serve you! Even a party of two can find it difficult to get seating during THE Spring Games but a reservation is an open door to a great seat! We also ask that you support our partners as they support us and the Games.

Traveling to Florida

  • What airport should I fly into for THE Spring Games?

Orlando International (MCO) or Sanford-Orlando (SFB) are the closest airports for all but one of our parks. Teams associated with our Madeira Beach event should look to fly into Tampa International (TPA) or St. Petersburg-Clearwater (PIE).

Where to Stay

  • Is THE Spring Games “Stay to Play?”

Never have been, never will be! We believe that if we provide a quality product for you, you’ll keep coming back. We also believe that as you get to know us, you’ll be happy to support us and the partners who support us, the teams, and our fans! So please feel free to stay where you like and, if it so happens you like staying with one of our LODGING PARTNERS, well then we all thank you very much!

  • Where should I stay when I come to THE Spring Games?

We are not “stay to play” at THE Spring Games but we’d sure appreciate it if you’d consider using one of our LODGING PARTNERS for your lodging during the event. We work with Event Connect to secure the best prices on the best facilities to make sure you have the best experience. We know you have a lot of options so it would mean a lot to us if you’d consider working with the folks who support us so we can better support you and your teams!

Ticketing FAQ

  • How do I purchase tickets?

You can either buy tickets at a discounted rate online or pay cash at the gate ($20/pp, no discounts, no credit cards).

  • Can I get discounted tickets anywhere?

You sure can! Our online tickets are discounted from the gate/day rate and we offer 10% off for Seniors and Military online. Please note that the online fees do not include service fees (approx. $3 per order) or tax (paid to the State); still, they are less than the $20 at the gate so buy early and SAVE!

  • Why is the gate cash only?

We don’t want to offer a service we can’t be sure will perform and, unfortunately, internet at the gate is one of those things that is (still!) hit or miss. So we offer the online option for those who want to use cards.

  • Why do you ask for my lodging information?

Florida’s #1 industry is tourism and lodging information is like GOLD to our county and state partners. As you know, most sporting events have gone to a “stay to play” model but we don’t like that one so we don’t do that. Instead, we rely on the goodwill of our coaches and fans to tell us where they are staying. We’d sure appreciate it if you’d provide us with your information either when you purchase tickets online or by completing our LODGING SURVEY.

We take that information, calculate room nights and economic impact from it, and pass it along to our local and state partners. They, in turn, use that information to receive state funding to help pay for the facilities AND (most exciting!) for facility improvements! Through the years, the detail we have provided to our counterparts has justified over $7,000,000 in facility improvement spending . . . so it’s working!

  • What if it rains (act of God or government)?

We do everything we can to make up games that are rained out or cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control If you purchase a day ticket at THE Spring Games and the games are rained out, we will mark your ticket for admission for the day the games are rescheduled. Please note: not all teams elect to make up rained out games; this is beyond our control.

Except for the limited representation above, we do not offer any refunds for games cancelled due to rainouts or acts of God or government.

At the Ballfields

  • Where will my team be playing?

Check the app for the full schedule as it is created. Addresses for all fields are located in our venue section of this website.

  • What can I NOT bring in the park?

Outside food, coolers, wagons, and tents are not allowed in our parks. Umbrellas are allowed but may not be used to obstruct views of other fans.

  • Is food available at the park?

Yes, full concessions are available.

  • Can I bring my pet?

Generally, pets and emotional support animals are not allowed at THE Spring Games venues. Of course, trained service animals are allowed in all parks. We understand your furry family member is important to you so some venues have agreed to allow pets; please check each venue to see if the venue has set aside an area for pets.

  • Can my handicapped parent enter at the team/umpire entrance?

Unfortunately no. This is a safety issue as teams enter and warm up nearby. Our staff will assist with anyone who needs help to enter the park.

  • What else do I need to be aware of before entering the Complex?

Make sure you review our Liability Waiver before you enter the Complex.
